FAQs

  • Will you store my metadata or data?

    We will NOT store your metadata or data. All your metadata and data resides on your Salesforce orgs and/or your git repositories. Copado will connect to these on the fly to perform the requested jobs and dispose of any temporary files.

  • Will you store my username and password?

    We will NOT store your username, password or token. Copado uses industry standard OAuth2 to securely manage the connection to your Salesforce orgs.

  • Where do I need to install Copado, in a sandbox or production Org?

    Just like you would do it with other AppExchange applications, for evaluation purposes sandboxes are OK. For production usage, you will need to install Copado on a Production instance. Remember that there are limitations to sandboxes like storage space or api usage limits. In addition, any data created in a sandbox will not be transferred to production once you go live.

  • Will installing Copado on my production Org interfere with my existing setup?

    No. We have architected Copado in such a way to be 100% scalable and handle Salesforce.com’s biggest customers. We don’t consume your existing batch processes, etc.. so you can safely install this within your production Org.

  • Do I need to install Copado on multiple Orgs?

    No, you don’t have to install Copado on all the Orgs that you need to connect to. Copado is installed ONLY once, and from that single installation you will be able to handle unlimited amount of environments.

  • Is Copado compliant with the latest European data protection laws?

    Yes. Even though Salesforce (and Heroku.com, a salesforce.com company) has updated their license agreement with an Addendum that is compatible with the latest European laws, Copado has replicated their entire infrastructure in european heroku instances. By default, all customers go to the US instance, however please contact us to make the switch to EU.

  • What are Copado IP addresses?
