But while Propic’s real estate on demand AI solutions save customers countless hours through the power of automation — the firm’s software development lifecycle was manual, labor-intensive and error-prone.
Propic’s IT team would painstakingly search for bugs, erase them and retest functionality all over again. It took 3-4 days to prepare a test case and 110-120 total hours per sprint to execute regression testing on Salesforce. QA often didn’t have enough time to complete the testing before deployments. This led to buggy code and expensive repairs.
Propic developers were also not getting early feedback in the development process. They would complete stories and put them in QA — only to wait two weeks for testing to be complete. The delays would break their flow and hamper their productivity.
Before implementing Copado Robotic Testing, Propic looked into Provar but found its code-based features difficult to use and hard to scale.
Once Propic developers mastered the basics of Copado Robotic Testing, they automated the setup of Salesforce orgs for new customer onboarding — replacing time-intensive manual package installation and configuration. They execute integration testing and Salesforce Platform testing across the UI and back-end. On Sunday nights, the dev team schedules the testing robots to run for eight hours so the software is ready for sales the following Monday.
Thanks to Copado Robotic Testing, Propic spends 375% less time on testing per sprint (32 hours) and executes end-to-end regression tests 533% faster on Salesforce.
Now, Propic’s QA team knows what to automate and how to clearly document it with screenshots. This makes it easy for anyone to log in using the live testing and complete each step. Most importantly, Propic provides a faster release cycle to its customers and more consistent Salesforce velocity. In the future, Propic is keen to continue increasing test coverage and integrating Copado Robotic Testing with more platforms.
