L-founders chose Salesforce as their strategic partner for all operations—including CRM, finance, logistics, and more. Adhering to a "Salesforce first" strategy, their main Salesforce org, "L-Force," supports close to 400 active users and manages approximately 100 loyalty campaigns per year across global markets.
But their DevOps processes weren't keeping pace with their ambitions. L-founders had set an audacious goal: triple their revenue from €350 million to €1 billion by 2030—without significantly growing their IT team. To achieve this, they needed to work smarter, not harder, leveraging automation and AI across their Salesforce-first technology stack.
"We had a two-year time crunch to get everything done," recalls Roelof van Eijk, Founder and IT Manager at L-founders. "Quality and speed were vital. To enable business evolution we had to develop faster. And to develop faster we needed automated testing."
Before implementing modern DevOps practices, L-founders faced significant deployment challenges. With their "Salesforce first" strategy, their Salesforce ecosystem was quite comprehensive across many clouds 𑁋Sales, Service, Data, Agentforce, and Mulesoft 𑁋along with many additional integrated applications.
Manual, time-consuming releases were based on three-week sprints, followed by one week of manual checks. Common pain points included managing permissions, page layouts, and missed fields.
Then there were testing bottlenecks. Testing initially relied solely on manual methods using Excel runbooks. After briefly experimenting their test automation with Selenium, L-founders were presented with additional challenges, broken tests, failed automation tools, Salesforce iframes, and HTML tags, which resulted in two full days required to complete all testing and fix errors.
"Deployment failures were often noticed after deployment in production, necessitating rework and manual intervention, rather than the deployment failing outright," noted Erisera Troshupa, DevOps Engineer at L-founders. Validation errors and merge conflicts during the validation process required developers to step away from sprint work to resolve issues, which took multiple days.

L-founders' journey with Copado began with a recommendation from their strategic implementation partner, NextView Consulting. At that time, NextView bridged a significant IT gap, as L-founders had minimal internal IT staff. “NextView has a high value, broad knowledge of the Salesforce ecosystem, and strong cooperation with Copado. The initial implementation of Copado was recommended by them, so we did not need to evaluate other tools," comments Roelof.
With the Copado implementation, the L-founders deployment process was transformed. The team saw immediate benefits: simple user onboarding, fast promotions, and quick deployments.
Their proven success using Copado led to the replacement of Selenium with Copado Robotic Testing. "Copado Robotic Testing was much easier for our QA teams to adopt,” Roelof comments. “It was less fragile with a more robust test suite, required less rework and made the rollout of our regression tests much faster."
With a constant need to improve their DevOps process in order to ensure their 2030 revenue goals, L-founders set their sights on the next evolution: Agentia Pro built on Source Format Pipelines.
"Our decision to upgrade from Metadata Pipelines to Source Format Pipelines in Agentia Pro was driven by the need for greater scalability, flexibility, and alignment with modern DevOps and version control best practices," explained Erisera. "As our Salesforce landscape expanded and the number of user stories increased, maintaining and tracking changes in the Metadata format became increasingly complex."
In total, upgrading to Agenita Pro took a few months, including several weeks of planning, three days of configuration, and a three-week training period. With preparation and planning around their development calendar, the upgrade went smoothly, taking about half a day.
Once upgraded, Agentia Pro’s Pipeline Experience interface offered an improved process. Collaboration between developers is easier through simplified conflict resolution, more efficient branching and merging within Git, and a clearer, more modular view of components. All in all, with the migration, the team can deploy faster with more predictability and easier maintenance.
"Since Salesforce itself organizes components natively in Source Format, adopting a pipeline based on this structure was a natural step toward improving consistency and efficiency," noted Erisera. “The new platform also receives the latest Agentia updates and feature enhancements, making the upgrade essential for long-term sustainability."

When L-founders first implemented Copado's CI/CD platform and Robotic Testing, the impact was immediate and profound. The introduction of Copado's CI/CD capabilities fundamentally changed how quickly L-founders could deliver value to their clients. Deployment time decreased from five days to about half a day.
L-founders were able to speed up their release cadence, with hotfixes deployed between sprints, and daily promotions and deployments to integration and UAT environments. But speed wasn't the only gain—quality improved simultaneously, a combination that had previously seemed impossible.
The implementation of Copado Robotic Testing brought a new level of confidence to the release process. Regression testing, which had previously been a manual, time-consuming bottleneck, became automated and reliable. L-founders now validate functionality across complex user journeys without dedicating days to manual testing cycles. The team has reduced their regression testing by 75 hours, and “90% of the previous manual testing is now fully automated," mentions Roelof.
For Roelof and the broader L-founders leadership team, the benefits extended beyond the DevOps team. The improved CI/CD and Robotic testing help the business move faster. "Copado improves quality and ensures that releases reach production faster as planned, fulfilling business requirements sooner," Erisera emphasized.
When L-founders decided to upgrade to Copado's Agentia Pro, they didn't anticipate just how transformative it would be. Today, the L-founders DevOps team operates with a confidence they didn't have before. The anxiety of deployments has been replaced by a systematic, visible, and reliable process. Immediate improvements included:
The updated system catches errors before they reach production—saving the team hours each week. Deployment speed improved from days to hours. Manual steps that once consumed developer time were automated away. Deployment quality saw measurable gains. Merge conflicts decreased.
"The overall quality of deployments with Agentia Pro has improved due to enhanced visibility, automated checks, and better synchronization across environments,” reflects Erisera. “Team productivity has benefited. Developers spend less time troubleshooting and more time focusing on actual feature development and innovation."
Team productivity shifted fundamentally. Developers spent less time in troubleshooting mode and more time in creation mode, building the features that drove client value. What started as an upgrade became a transformation in how L-founders delivers value to its clients—faster, with higher quality, and with a team that can focus on innovation.

The L-founders team is an early adopter of Salesforce Agentforce, with five agents currently developed:
As early adopters, L-founders worked closely with Copado to pioneer Agentforce deployment best practices. "Agentforce agents can now be fully deployed using the Copado platform," noted Roelof.
Initially, deploying Agentforce components required careful sequencing and validation. "Earlier, we had to commit and deploy components such as topics, actions, and GenAIPlanner elements in a strict sequence, carefully validating dependencies to avoid errors. This required additional checks and increased the risk of omissions," noted Erisera.
Agentia’s continuous innovation solved this challenge. "With the introduction of features like GenAIPlannerBundle, Copado streamlined this process by bundling all related components into a single deployable unit,” mentions Erisera. “We used this new feature to deploy our latest Agentforce agents and this eliminated manual sequencing, reduced dependency risks, and minimized deployment failures."
L-founders' DevOps journey continues to evolve as they pursue their €1 billion revenue goal. As they move forward towards their goal, they look to expand their Copado adoption, implementing Slack, onboarding new teams to the platform, exploring and enhancing their Data Deploy usage, introducing automated quality gates and testing, and integrating their DevOps structure more closely with regression testing.
As the team continues to mature their DevOps practices, their main goals stay consistent: less rework, reduce deployment time, and improve team morale and work-life balance.
